Winter Workouts: The Protein Smoothie to Get You ThroughMarch 2021
Getting the motivation to hop out of bed, put on your runners and start working out in Winter is hard. It’s freezing when we wake up, bulky layers get in the way of our movement, and at the end of the day, the dreary weather leaves us feeling worn out. There’s a few easy ways to put a pep in your step, and all year round, the idea that a new workout look will make you want to workout more reigns true, even if it is only 12 degrees outside.

Pumpkin Protein Smoothie
This ultra easy recipe only requires a few things:
- ¾ cup of your milk of choice (we like almond for this recipe!)
- 4 tablespoons of pumpkin puree
- 1 serving of vanilla protein powder
- 1 teaspoon of flax seeds or chia seeds (or both!)
- ½ teaspoon of cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon of nutmeg
- A drizzle of honey (measure with your sweet tooth!)
- A few ice cubes
From here, the recipe is ultra simple, just whack all of your ingredients into a blender, and either add ice afterwards, or blend it in to create a frappuccino style drink. The pumpkin pie inspired smoothie is sure to put some pep into your Winter steps and get you out of the door and working out as usual.
